Should you sell in December?

“Is it a bad idea to start promoting a new offer in December?"

My short answer: It depends less on the month and more on your audience’s buying patterns.

The long answer:
December is actually a high-spending month for most consumers.
People are in a buying mindset. They’re giving gifts and investing in things that make life or business smoother for the year ahead.

And if you sell B2B, your chances of selling December could be even better.
Many businesses are either spending the last of their 2025 budgets, or investing in tools, coaching, or systems to support their 2026 goals.

What I'm saying is, it’s not automatically a “bad time” to launch. But it may not automatically be a good time to launch either.

If you’ve seen your sales efforts flop in Decembers past, that's a stronger indicator.
Personally, I’ve launched new offers in December that have sold a lot better than in any other month so you'll usually find me selling in the last month of the year.

Your business history tends to be a more accurate predictor than broad seasonal trends.
That, combined with whatever is fuelling your decision to sell.

If you're selling a new offer due to being in survival mode, I typically recommend:
1) Regulating your nervous system so you can make sound decisions and take care of your well-being.
2) Selling an existing offer instead. You might need to tweak the messaging but usually, selling a proven offer is easier than selling a new one because you can show proof that it works.

So if you’re feeling pulled to launch something new before the year ends, don’t talk yourself out of it just because it’s December.

Trust your data and notice what's driving the desire.

In your corner,
Natalia

First, a personal life update: The family emergency situation seems to be settling down a bit but life is far from back to normal.Things are still...a lot.And somewhere in between all of it I'm slowly transitioning back to tending to my business. I know I'm not the only one who's in a season of running a business while facing hard things. I know because many of you shared that with me in response to my last newsletter. And for every one person who shares their story, there's gotta be at least...
